About Ellie O’Grady,
Hi I’m Ellie. Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. My life revolves around cameras and a love for fitness, fueled by a passion for creativity, people, and adventure.
Photography is my way of documenting the world around me—capturing people, moments, and places in time. It’s a medium for communication, storytelling, and it enables me to express myself artistically.
I have learned to embrace the unpredictable nature of life and thrive on challenges, actively seeking out discomfort and constantly pushing boundaries, both physically and creatively.
When I haven’t got a camera in my hands, I can usually be found running, surfing, or finding some new way to push myself out of my comfort zone.
I have a knack for pulling off crazy ideas. Last year, without any training or preparation, I ran the Rottnest marathon—42.2 km—purely out of sheer willpower and determination (it was tough). Curious to see what I could achieve with proper training, I set a new goal this year to run an ultra marathon. Over the last six months, I’ve run a dozen half marathons, marathons, and completed an ultra marathon (minus losing my two big toenails, I felt great afterward). My most recent challenge was completing the Busselton Iron Man, December 2024.
Driven by curiosity, I’m always exploring new opportunities to learn and grow. What started as a hobby, photographing surfers, has led me to work in the fashion, music, and lifestyle industries as a Photographer and Videographer.
Whether working on collaborative projects or pursuing personal adventures, I am always excited to undertake new challenges and make a positive impact.
